November 21, KALIMUDAN FESTIVAL
@ Isulan, Sultan Kudarat
Kalimudan means an annual gathering of different tribal groups to celebrate a bountiful harvest. It became now one of the most awaited festivals that indeed gather the peoples of the province to celebrate the milestones and development that they worked for as they commemorate the foundation anniversary of Sultan Kudarat. Street dancing, trade fair and sports competitions add color to the festivities.”

PADANG-PADANG ADVENTURE PARK IN PARANG, MAGUINDANAO


The PADANG-PADANG ADVENTURE PARK is an eco-tourism project owned and amanaged by the Local Government of Parang. It is aimed at promoting peace and order in the locality and providing socio-economic growth. Furthermore, it calls for potential investment not just in this municipality but in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) in general.


The Park is open everyday from 9:00am to 5:00pm.
The Zipline Ride is open every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday from 9:00am to 5:00pm.

MUTYA NG COTABATO 2013


Cotabato City is now under the reign of the new Mutya ng Cotabato 2013. Candidate number 4 Sarah Jane Mantigue won the votes of the judges and grabbed the title against 6 other candidates. First runner up is Candidate number 5, Humberline Anito and placing as Second Runner up is Candidate number 6, Christine Joy Capin.


Mantigue also received 3 Major Awards--Best in Swimsuit, Best in Official Attire, and Best in Production Number. She finally won the hearts of the judges during the question and answer portion where she answered energy conservation to the question of how she can contribute in protecting the environment.

Meanwhile, the other candidates also won other awards. Candidate number 7, Precious Honey Llanda, got the Best in Long Gown and Best in Talent Awards. Candidate number 3, Mae Ann Joy Bello got the Miss Photogenic Award and Candidate number 2, Jamela Buisan got the Miss Congeniality award.(cpio-cotabato)

“This festival is originally conceived as a celebration of good harvest of the Municipality’s main agricultural products namely Lubi (coconut), Mais (corn) and palay (rice) as highlights of the Municipal Foundation Anniversary. Today, it also depicts the IP’s traditional practice expressing respect to spirits through offerings, hence the word LUMad ALAY. Street dancing, culinary arts competition, ballgames are among the center piece of celebration.”
