Good news good news and good news, that how Executive Secretary Atty. Naguib G. Sinarimbo starts the Tapatan Sa ARMM a weekly regular presscon of ARMM at ORG Conference Hall, Cotabato City.

In the recent Tapatan sa ARMM several issues  which concerns the Polloc Port  were discussed.  One was the plan  to open a barter trading with Malaysia, Halal standardization according to the requirement of Malaysia which will possibly open the possibilities of employment opportunities.

Peace and order concerns on the recent death of a Principal in Datu Piang Maguindanao  who was shot dead and allegedly linked to the recently concluded Barangay Elections were also given updates for the local media to inform the investigations conducted. 

Moreover, the issue about the delayed bonus of teachers which was  due to the availability of the budget from the national government was also discussed during the process of the press conference.

Tapatan was held at the ORG conference hall,ORG building ARMM COMPOUND,Cotabato City facilitated by the Bureau of Public Information (BPI).

TaPaTaN sa ARMM ExPeRiEnCe

Tapatan sa Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM), a press conference where the media and the officials as well as  concerned agencies of the region address the issues of the local members of the media.  This week I was privileged to attend the press con where several issues and concerns were raised by the media.

The program aims to provide information and updates direct from the agencies concerned which will be informed  to the public through the media partners of the locality.  Aside from establishing partnership with the media, it is also an avenue of the regional government to clear issues thrown to the different agencies. It is regularly held every wednesday but is set to other days in case there are conflicts in the schedule.

Some of the items tackled during the press conference are:

• The State of the Regional Address (SORA) preparations
• The conditional cash  transfer of DSWD
• Updates on the investigation on the death of Vice Mayor Alexander Tomawis of Barira Maguindanao

As a blogger it's good to know that information dissemination is done in a proper forum and program like this.  I recognize the effort of ARMM in holding such, for sure it much in the local governance.
