“Highlighting the
Foundation Anniversary of Koronadal, Hinugyaw Festival is a celebration of the
different cultures that has dwelled on this fertile valley. Activities tell how the historical stream of
settlers coming from the different parts of the country had rolled up and
contribute to what Koronadal today is, despite their cultural diversity. Hence, the termed “the melting pot of
cultures and the land of peace loving people.”

celebrates the abundance of fish locally known as “Bangsi” (flying fish). A year round abundant catch made dried fish a
thriving industry in the locality. It
made the place famous for its bangsi products (OTOP)”

HINUGYAW FESTIVAL 2012

Now on the 13th year, Hinugyaw Festival is set on
January 4-10, 2013. The week long celebration will once again showcase the
fusion of diverse cultures present in the City of Koronadal. Major events includes the Drumline Competition, the search
for Lakambini ng Koronadal 2013 and
the much anticipated Piyesta Korona (Korona Festival) - a mix of street dancing, mardi gras and float competitions.

celebration of the Province of South Cotabato that demonstrate the importance
of T’nalak cloth as the cultural image of the Province. The variety of activities of the festival
mimics the T’nalak cloth, being a piece of cloth weaved to varied designs. The festival activities are characterized by
its focus on people and development anchored on tourism, history and culture
and Arts.”

THE UNKABOGABLE CONCERT IN SOUTH COTABATO – AMO NA YA!!!
The Provincial Government of
South Cotabato brings VICE GANDA “The Unkabogable” concert in Koronadal City. Coming up this
July 15, 2012 at around 7:30 PM in South Cotabato Gym & Cultural Center.
It is going to be a hilarious
performance from Vice Ganda and be ready with his unkabogable punch lines.

laughter. Along with Vice Gnada, he will be accompanied with his special guests
like Ethel Booba, Mc and Lassy the comic-duo and the Streetbeat Band.

January 14-15 – Halad sa Sto. Nino
