commemoration or festivities. This festival highlights the founding of General
Santos City in 1939. It brings back to memory the epic story of the city’s
metamorphosis from doldrums of long ago into a bustling agro-industrial center
that it is now. The weeklong event showcases the city’s diverse culture and
heritage.”
