46th Celebration of Fire Prevention Month Kick-Off Ceremony with a theme of " MAKIISA, MAKIALAM AT MAKIPAGTULUNGAN UPANG SUNOG AY MAIWASAN" at Regional Headquarters, BFP-ARMM Cotabato City.

PROGRAM OF ACTIVITIES

FIRE PREVENTION MONTH CY 2012

BFP – ARMM
01 March 2012	Motorcade – to be participated by personnel from Regional Headquarters. Provincial Fire Office, City/Municipal Fire Offices, members of volunteer fire brigades, LGU’s and LCE’s. Fire Olympics – to be participated by all stations. -       Fire hose relay -       Rescue operation -       Tug-of-war -       Roof climbing -       Engine relay Simultaneous blowing of horns of all fire fighting vehicles. Posting of streamers with this year’s fire prevention month slogan in places that could easily be noticed. Visibility and image building campaign Distribution of information materials Conduct lectures on all types of occupancies Open house on all fire stations for school children.	T-shirt, streamers, snacks, rescue vans, ambulances, volunteer fire brigades. T-shirt, streamers, trophies, snacks Firetrucks and other fire fighting vehicles Fire safety materials, photographic streamers etc.
02-05 March 2012	TV and Radio exposure emphasizing importance of fire safety. General Alarm band (Musika laban sa Sunog) Fire Safety Awareness Campaign (Ugnayan sa Barangay) and visibility image building campaign which must constitute the following: -       Distribution of information materials -       Lectures of Fire Prevention -       Inspection of all establishment -       Familiarization if their respective AOR -       Testing of all Fire Hydrants -       Fire disaster control and emergency evaluation plan -       Fire drill -       Monitoring of all hazard operations
06 March 2012	Conduct of refresher training course to all volunteer fire brigades and Barangay Disaster Control Brigade within the area of responsibility.
10 March 2012	Conduct of the following contest/ competition to be opened to all interested participants. All contest shall focus on the theme slogan this year’s fire prevention month; -       Drawing contest for elementary students -       Poster making contest for high school students -       Photo contest open to all -       Essay writing contest for high school students
11-30 March 2012	Radio, TV, Newsprint exposure emphasizing the importance of fire safety Fire Safety Awareness Campaign
31 March 2012	Culminating Ceremonies
