Honorable City Mayor Japal J.Guiani, Jr. |
Bismillahi Rahmani Raheem.
Allaah has made Laylat al-Qadr in this month,
which is better than a thousand months, as Allaah says...The Night of Al-Qadr
is better than a thousand months. Therein descend the angels and the Rooh
[Jibreel (Gabriel)] by Allaah's Permission with all Decrees, there is peace
until the appearance of dawn." -[al-Qadar 97:1-5]
Our sincerest greetings to our Muslim brothers
and sisters as we welcome the Holy Month of Ramadan.
May this season of fasting, prayers, and
self-sacrifice bring us closer to the Almighty and give us more patience and
strength of mind as we continue to face the challenges brought about by the
changing of times.
For the past years, we have been aiming for
development and in time we will be ready to compete with the other highly
urbanized cities in the country. This is just one of the many reasons we should
be thankful to Allah (S.W.T).
Let us all join hands in praising and giving
thanks to Allah (S.W.T) for the progress that beloved city is enjoying and for
all the benefits it has brought upon all of us Cotabateños.
Most importantly, may the spirit of Ramadan
illuminate our path and show us the way to peace and harmony.
Ramadan Kareem!
Greetings from Cotabato City Mayor Japal J.
Guiani, Jr, officials and employees of the City Government.
