DEPARTMENT OF LABOR AND EMPLOYMENT - ARMM rELeAsE tHe KABUHAYAN STARTER KIT



Valentine’s day is a special day for a couples, friends and even to a families. It is a time of expressing their love to each other by a simple way of giving flowers, chocolates or a dinner date, but DOLE-ARMM is inimitable.

This day Secretary Myrna Alih of DOLE-ARMM grants a package of appliances and facilities under the Kabuhayan Starter Kit. This is a project of DOLE-ARMM to help the displaced workers of Mindanao Textile Corporation (MinTex) of Maguindanao was closed down because of global economic crisis last 2009.
 
The packages include refrigerators,  ice shavers and other tools need to put  up mini restaurant, dress shop, and carpentry had been awarded to the 35 beneficiaries amounting to P130,000.

According to DOLE-ARMM Secretary Myrna Alih, the program was meant to decrease the unemployment in the region.

This is the first series of batches of beneficiaries to receive the Kabuhayan Starter Kit. Secretary Myrna Alih announced that an additional amount of P500,000 has been released for the second batch of the 112 beneficiaries.
